Hydrus has completed the refurbishment and testing of a subsea trees. The purpose of the scope of work required Hydrus to prepare the Xmas tree for use as a high-pressure suspension cap for abandonment wells.

After a complete survey of the tree, Hydrus undertook the following refurbishment:

Clean the Xmas tree

Conduct - received survey of the tree

Remove the SCM - Aker

Function check all valves

Pressure test all valves – above and below

Remove obsolete functions

Purge BRAYCO Sv3 fluid from actuators and pipework

Flush system as per technical spec requirements

Check fluid levels on balance system – subsea parity test

Function test the lock and unlock function on the wellhead connector

Record connector break out pressure

Remove DHPT equipment (where fitted)

Remove downhole chemical injection function (where fitted)

Weld new anodes onto tree

Balance tree

Surface paint work
